My dear Sir, can you print for me, onforeign letter paper sheets onc hundred hea-dings, like what I enclose? as early as possibile? and send the parcel to James Stansfeld?
Can you verify, through some friend in Sheffield, whether or not the Sheffield Free Press has inserted a letter of mine, (illeggibile), concerning the silly accusation from M. Uhrquardt? and in that case, can you order two copies of the number for me ?
Will you be so good as to thank very mach Miss S. D. Collet for me? Her trading letter to you on the subject is fally repaying me for ali the foolish counting (?) rom Mr. Uhrquardt and Co.
I hope the Italian mss. I sent through Mr. Crispi is progressing. I send a copy of the French Edition for perusal if any friend of yours cares to go through it. A friend is now translating it in English.

My dear Sir, your determination of publishing Pyat*s pamphlet is the best I could suggest. I trust your carrying out quickly. I think that these Press-prose-cutions ought to be looked upon by Englishmen as upon one of the worst features of the actual condìtion of things. It is far more dangerous than ten anticonspiracy Bill, and I allude, not only to the Pyat, hut to the Truelove affair. People ought to see, 1 that their defence should be put in the hands of a bold eloquent man, capable of dragging L. N. (Louis Napoleon) in his tura before the Bar, and ask the English jury men whether they dare to canee! (?) History, 2, that a similar ofFence should be repented e very day, so as to drive the Goveraement either to retrace step or (illeggibile). The Press is your Palladium-woe to the day in which England should submit to its being untailed!

My dear Sir, you sell Tyran et Tyrannicide . I am asked to exhort you to have it translated into English and published. Can you do so? Of course, I would be glad if you could. Stili it is a mattcr of calculation too. Can you, through your Agency, secure a sale equal to expence? Then, even if there should be no gain, I suppose you will do it. If you think you would be a loser, do not, you ought not min yourself; L. B(onaparte) is not worth the ruin of a honest man. I only wanted to discharge the mission with which I have been entrusted.
I have not a single copy of my Letter . Will you, without hurry, take the first opportunity of sending a dozen to James? I think a Thirded will be required for the province.
