It will remain a treasnred heirloom in the keeping of my gran deh ildren, to whom I Bhall bequeath it.
I ara thankful. dear friend, that you, and a few other dedirated Mazziniane, are conducting a truly Mazzinian apostatate. The whole civilised world is in urgenl need of Buch an apostolate to-day, and it is fi t li ri g that its in illative sboiild come from Italy. Materialisni is now the " religion " of the western world, and the debasement of our standards and values is only too widespread and obvions. "We need a new and worldwide Risorgimento! The one thing which we Mazzinians bave to guard against is, I think, the deflection of our movement into a " personali!}- cult in wnich the Maestro would. be subjected to the Kind of Duce-worship which he would bave abhorred. But of tbis you, I am sure, are more fnlly aware than I ani.
