In the absence of the Chairman of the Nominating Committee the Executive Secretary-Treasurer announced the nominations of the Committee. For President, Edward R. Tan-nenbaum. For Vice-President, William Bowsky. For Member of the Advisory Council, Richard A. Goldthwaite. There were no nominations from the floor. The nominees were elected unanimously.
Mr. Tannenbaum announced that President Bouwsma had appointed Myron P. Gil-more to he Chairman of the Program Committee for 1976.
Emiliana P. Noether initiated a discussion of the future of financing our Society. She suggested that the subscription service be dropped and that the Society assess only an annual dues on its members. Considerable discussion ensued with opinions expressed prò and con. It was finally decided that in view of the small number of members at the meeting it would be preferable to poli the entire membership hy mail ballot.
The members would be given three choices:
1. Continue the present policy
2. Drop the subscription service
3. Continue the present policy. but with a shorter list of journals for subscription. A Ferdinand Engel then announced the la test inf ormation on the International Research
Project on documentation of the European Resistence Movement. The International Com­mittee is now publishing a review on sources on the Resistance Movement. He invited collafaoration in the work of the Committee and contribution to the new review.
Raymond Grew complimented the outgoìng Executive Secretary-Treasurer on bis work for the Society. Duane Koenig reminded the members that this meeting marked the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Society.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:45 P.M.

PARIGI. Diamo più ampia notizia della seduta del Gruppo francese del nostro Isti­tuto, che si è tenuta il 19 novembre u.s. nei locali dell'Istituto italiano di cultura.
Il prof. Philippe Gut, assistente nell'Università di Parigi I, ha parlato sul tema Flau­bert et l'Italie (d'après les notes de voyage et la correspondance de l'écrivain) , rievocando i due soggiorni in Italia del futuro autore di Madame Bovary; quello del 1845 (aveva allora quarantacinque anni) e, soprattutto, l'altro del 1851. Della crisi che dal 1848 aveva scosso la Penisola sembra che Flaubert abbia capito poco; tutta la sua attenzione era riservata ai musei, ai resti dall'antichità e ai paesaggi. Questa fu la conclusione dell'oratore, che fu da lui temperata dopo la discussione molto animata che tenne dietro alla sua brillante e solida esposizione. Era presente una cinquantina di persone. In quella occasione il gruppo si accrebbe per nuove adesioni.

PIACENZA. - Il 23 novembre u.s. il nostro Comitato ha organizzato una riuscitissima giornata di studio. Ne diamo notizia da La Libertà del 1 dicembre 1975.
e Nella sala di lettura della Biblioteca comunale, in via Carducci, il Comitato piacen­tino dell'Istituto per la storia del Risorgimento italiano ha tenuto domenica mattina la preannunciata seduta di studi. Oltre al pubblico ed ai soci del Comitato, erano presenti il dott. De Luca in rappresentanza del Prefetto, il Questore dr. Isgrò, il Provveditore agli studi dr. Setti, don Marchetlini per il vescovo e il dr. Piero Castignoli direttore dell'Archivio di Stato di Piacenza. Hanno invece fatto pervenire la loro adesione il prof. Alberto M. Ghisal-berti, presidente dell'Istituto per la storia del Risorgimento italiano e il consigliere provin­ciale Giovanni Spezia.
Dopo il saluto rivolto ai presenti dall'aw. Corrado Sforza Fogliani, presidente del Comitato cittadino per la storia del Risorgimento, iniziava la riunione dedicata alle relazioni in programma, la prima delle quali " 1945: Piacenza nell'anno primo della ricostruzione nazionale " veniva tenuta dallo studioso prof.
