Besides the whole subscription matter ìs in the highest degree inpractical. Who is the manager of ili from whom-had we to claim responsabiiity, and account? Besides one frane! there is no result to be expected, not 20.000 francs in ali, and in one year, and there we will stand before the world, as men, who are re-duced to one dollar subscriptions, and who issue here a loan, and fail, than resort to shilling subscriptions again fail,nd are thus clapping from quarter to quarter, and fail again.

Even if the shilling subscription is emitted in a si mila r manner, I consider it a great mistake.
